Today at Tribeca: New Filmmakers in the Digital Age and our Final Day of Future of Film Live Series
Yesterday, leading films critics and industry titans, David Denby and A.O. Scott, captivated the crowd at our Future of Film Live series with The Verge when they took the stage at 92YTribeca. Moderated by Josh Topolsky, the three men discussed the future of the film industry and debated as to whether we live in the age of the critics, or the age of criticism.
On other fronts, the French thriller Mobius made its U.S. premiere at the BMCC Tribeca Pac, while the incredible documentary, The Battle of amFAR, stunned audiences across town. Dr. Mathilde Krim, global health consultant,activist Regan Hofmann, amfAR CEO Kevin Robert Frost, and amfAR chairman Kenneth Cole spoke about recent strides in AIDS research including the development of new treatments.

Digital pioneer, media executive, curator of Media ReDEFined and film buff Jason Hirschhorn moderates a conversation concerning the future of cinema design with select architects & theater owners. Panelists include representatives from Alamo Draft House, IFC Film Center, AMC Theatres, and Alex Mustonen of Snarkitecture.
