About the Director(s)
In 2003, Tom Donahue produced and edited Alfredo de Villa's feature debut, Washington Heights, winner of five Best Picture awards at festivals worldwide. Heights opened theatrically to widespread critical acclaim and received a Gotham Award nomination for the Open Palm Award. As Producer, Donahue recently completed the feature documentary, Highway Courtesans (which premiered at the 2004 International Documentary Festival in Amsterdam and SxSW 2005). Donahue has produced and edited numerous award-winning features and documentaries that have screened at such major film festivals as Sundance, Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, Venice, San Sebastian and TriBeCa (and have, combined, won over twenty awards). Recent works include the feature documentaries, Naked States and Naked World for HBO's America Undercover, Keep the River on Your Right (Winner of the 2001 Truer than Fiction Spirit Award); and Raphael Nadjari's Apartment #5C (Official Selection, Directors' Fortnight, Cannes 2002). He is currently co-directing the feature documentary, Guest of Cindy Sherman.
