From the sexually harassed checkout girl to the daredevil stuntman in the meat department, Ben's coworkers have perfected the art of dealing with the boredom of working an eight-hour shift. Ben dreams of becoming a painter and his own "art" becomes a sophisticated daydream about the essence of beauty found in the female form.

Born in Brighton, England in 1970, Sean Ellis moved to London to work in fashion photography and did style shoots for The Face, Arena, and Vogue. After his 1998 Brit Award-winning video for the All Saints' hit "Never Ever," Ellis directed several commercials and music videos. Ellis wrote and directed the short Left Turn, which was produced by Ugly Duckling Films and Ridley Scott's RSA Films and aired on television channels worldwide. Cashback, his second short, has won the top prize at four of the six festivals at which it has screened. His debut feature film Broken is slated to shoot this year.
