Digital video camera footage and still photographs were manipulated and rotoscoped to achieve the visual effects in this meditative, thoughtful short on Midwesterners’ memories and the meaning behind their trips to the ranges of Colorado.

Mike Snell lives in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri with his wife, a family law attorney, and their two children, Charlie and Oscar. Snell, who has been working postproduction and marketing for 20 years, owns Blue Wall Design, a small digital video postproduction facility. He has made short personal moving picture pieces since college. Grace Never Leaves marks his first try at reaching a larger audience. His other shorts have tended to be personal reflections on creativity or aspects of popular culture.
