About the Director(s)
Bill Plympton received his second Oscar nomination in 2005 for Guard Dog, marking the latest chapter in his prestigious career as an animator, designer, and director. He financed his award-winning The Tune (1992) by releasing shorts from the not-yet-completed project, shorts that went on to win their own awards at the 1991 Cannes Film Festival. He then turned to live-action, directing J. Lyle (1994) and Guns on The Clackamas (1995) before returning to animation with 1998's I Married A Strange Person and 2001's Mutant Aliens, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He completed his latest feature, Hair High, in 2004.
