SIRAH

Large_film_12737957_photo1
Sirah is a young Muslim girl desperate for friends, but her traditional garb and unfamiliar religion make her an outcast at her private school. Amy wants to be Sirah's friend, but she doesn't have quite enough courage to befriend the least popular girl in school, especially when her friend Caitlin is always challenging Sirah's way of life. Ultimately, Caitlin makes a request that forces Sirah to choose between the world she wants to be a part of and the world she grew up in.

About the Director(s)
Born in D.C., Cristine Spindler holds a B.S. in Hospitality Administration, a minor in Italian, and a M.F.A. in Motion Picture, Television and Recording Arts from the Florida State University Film School. There, she volunteered on many film shoots and realized she enjoyed working behind the camera more than acting in front of it. She has also read scripts and written coverage for Tapestry Films in Los Angeles.
