I HATE BEING SINGLE
Rob Michael Hugel
Brooklyn-based comedian Rob Michael Hugel is the mind behind I Hate Being Single, an uncomfortable yet ultimately heartwarming comedy webseries starring Hugel as a lonely hipster looking for love. After premiering his first season to acclaim in 2012, Hugel raised $11,000 on Indiegogo to produce a second season, and now a third is right around the corner. Rob’s eccentric style brilliantly lent itself to the much-loved webseries—and now, TV series—Broad City, for which he served as a writer, director, and editor on several episodes. The success of I HATE BEING SINGLE led Hugel to build on its world as the center of a YouTube Channel of the same name, now home to several spin-off series including Rob's Room, Man Vs Waiter, and vlog series The Real Rob. In addition to his growing I HATE BEING SINGLE online empire, Hugel is increasingly prolific within the New York comedy scene as a member of the UCB-based sketch troupe, Onassis, and plans to move into long form work with feature films and TV using characters developed in his sketch comedy.
