Written and directed by Enid Zentelis, Bottled Up is an intimate (and often funny) portrayal of a family struggling with addiction. Set in upstate New York, the TFF 2013 film features Oscar-winner Melissa Leo in the role of Faye, a working-class woman who frets over her daughter, Sylvie (Marin Ireland), who is increasingly dependent on painkillers due to a back injury. Despite her troubles, Faye throws herself into her work and invites a well-meaning environmentalist named Beckett (Josh Hamilton) into their home, which significantly complicates matters.Anchored by its talented cast, Enid Zentelis’ sophomore feature is a moving and sometimes humorous exploration of sacrifice and self-enlightenment. Look for the film on VOD and digital platforms beginning February 28th with a limited theatrical roll-out to follow.
